Animals on the Farm

POULTRY

We are proud to raise both laying and meat hens for your table. Our cornish cross chickens grow incredibly fast and, alongside our pigs, benefit from recycled feed. These chickens mature well off of pasture, fermented barley, and cheese. Our free range chickens roam with our ducks and geese and supply ample breakfast every morning. Their eggs are especially tasty paired with fried ham or bacon.

CATTLE

Lowline Angus, otherwise known as Aberdeen, are a breed of cattle grown for their compact size, docility, and efficiency. They grow quickly, producing well-marbled cuts, and can be raised on grass alone. Lowlines have an exceptionally good nature and are very adaptable. They calve easily due to their small size, are excellent mothers, and have proven to be remarkable fertile. Our herd has a special story as they spent several years on our property under previous ownership. We were able to return it to its home in the fall of 2023. Since then we have expanded, adding new blood and raising new calves. We expect to be able to offer beef products in the fall of 2026.

HOGS

There is no other pork better than a milk-fed pig. Our pork is both tender and rich, acting more like beef than a typical pork chop. Bred for efficiency, these pigs flourish off skillfully crafted waste dairy products, pasture, and grain. We are currently selecting for maternal instincts, fast weight gain, and stocky body conformation, and are raising plenty of piglets for all your finishing needs.

SHEEP

A new addition to our diverse collection of animals, our sheep flock is helping us to maintain our pastures. Complementing the cattle, they prefer pasture species other than grass and help to control parasites in the soil. We raise large, healthy lambs through our management intense grazing system which ensures nutritional needs are closely monitored.
